Bishop John McIntyre died on 6 June 2014 and his funeral was held in St Saviours Redfern. John Mac was imersered in the local community and many community organisations including Inner Sydney Regional Council. . In 2007 John returned to give the Marg Barry Memorial Lecture entitled “What is truth? Discovering the basis for authentic community”. In memory of John we think his message is still very relevent for inner city communities today.
