Get prepared: summer weather

Date: December 8 2021
Time: 11:00 am

Extreme weather events are on the rise. Floods, storms, fires and heatwaves can damage your home and force you to leave for a period of time. Such events are disruptive, yet we can reduce the stress and hardship that follows by taking some simple steps now.

While storms can happen at any time of the year, between October and March, NSW sees increased chances of strong winds and heavy rain, which risks floods and flash floods. Extreme heat can be equally as dangerous, but when temperatures climb there are things you can do to stay safe and healthy, and help others.

Join the Australian Red Cross and NSW State Emergency Services for the “Get Prepared: Summer Weather” online information session to learn about how you can be better prepared for the summer season ahead.
