Understanding and Developing Program Logic and Outcomes Matrix
In this workshop facilitated by Dr Kathleen Blair from University of Technology Sydney, we’ll do a deep dive into program logic and outcomes matrix. We will situate these tools within the broader context of evaluation and we’ll provide practical and easy ways to complete them to the highest quality. We’ll discover how a program logic can help us plan our programs and identify our intended outcomes, and how an outcomes matrix can then help us figure out the best way to demonstrate our impact (as well as what data we need to collect for our mandatory reporting).
Who is the workshop for:
- The workshop is intended for organisations in the CAFS program and those who are new to evaluation and outcomes measurement.
The workshop will cover:
1. Introduction to evaluation: key concepts and approaches
2. Program logic: mapping out your programs and services
3. Outcomes Matrix: developing an outcomes measurement plan for your programs
To get the most out of this workshop, you should bring:
- Details of the activities and outcomes your organisation is contracted to deliver (as they inform what should be in your program logic)
- Any existing or draft program logics
