The Leader’s Room© is an exciting and innovative leadership development program specifically for community sector leaders. The Program aims to provide you with opportunities to reflect on your own leadership practices and critically consider how you can continue to make a difference for individuals, their families and communities.
The Program has been developed in conjunction with community sector leaders and their organisations. It aims to challenge what is referred to as “the leadership gap” across Australia’s not-for-profit sector. The Leader’s Room© is part of a process that allows you to unpack your leadership style through individual and group-based learning opportunities.
Essentially, The Leader’s Room© is about developing a Community of Practice. Together with other participants, you will form a new network, share information, build on existing knowledge, develop expertise, and create solutions that can deliver the social impacts we all want to see.
About Participants
Exclusively for community sector leaders in the inner Sydney region. Participants will be currently working in a middle or senior management role, such as;

The Leader’s Room© Program Structure
The Leader’s Room© Program is an opportunity to build your knowledge, skills, and connections and contribute to what we describe as not-for-profit “future-proofing”. This 12-week program aims to build your thirst for ongoing sustainable leadership development practices. Most of us begin our careers in the sector, focusing on building our “clinical” or “direct care” practice skills. Somewhere along the line, we end up managing people, processes and conflicts in what is often a challenging and shifting environment.
Upon entering the Leader’s Room©, you, the participant, have agreed to embark on a reflective journey using critical thinking, reflective practice and personal storytelling to understand and improve your leadership style.
Based on Adult Learning Principles and Community of Practice Theory, The Leader’s Room© will use a range of learning techniques focused on encouraging you to unpack and develop your practice. This is a group-based Program, and participants will be encouraged to participate through:
• Peer, Group Leader and Expert Presentations
• Facilitated Conversations
• Personal Journal Writing
• Literature Critique
• Personal Story Telling
At the end of the program, the newly formed group will be given the skills and opportunity to develop their own ongoing Leadership Community of Practice.

Cost
The program fee is $600 plus GST. Inner Sydney Voice however is offering a range of Scholarships & Discounts for eligible applicants
1. 50% discount for ISV members – $300+GST per participant
2. 2 x “no cost” places for organisations with a turnover of less than $600 000 per annum
