In 2018, Dr. Gary Jacobson was working with an organisation to develop a risk plan and suggested that the risk of a pandemic be included. At the time, it was dismissed as an unlikely scenario, while cyber threats and reputational risks dominated discussions. The rest, as we now know, is history.
Risk management and business continuity planning are about being prepared for whatever may come. Whether it’s a global pandemic, a cyberattack, or a financial downturn, organisations must have strategies in place to navigate crises effectively.
