Last weekend, ISV hosted a stall at the Redfern and Waterloo Pet Day. Despite the intermittent rain, it was a wonderful day spent connecting with local pet owners and hearing stories about their beloved furry companions.
The diversity of people, pets and experiences we encountered was remarkable. We met a woman whose cat had found its way into her life after several previous owners had passed away. Another community member, a passionate advocate for bully breeds, proudly introduced us to his gentle giant. We also had the joy of meeting both support animals and pets receiving support themselves.
The photos we collected throughout the day are a testament to the deep bonds shared between the Redfern and Waterloo communities and their animals. They also highlight the importance of events like Pet Day, which create valuable opportunities for communities to access support, resources and information to help care for their pets.
A big thank you to Counterpoint Community Services, City of Sydney and RSPCA for delivering another successful Pet Day. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
