Hello Sector,
In this edition of Hello Sector! I wanted to drop in and take the opportunity to say both hello and farewell, and to update you on the leadership transition here at ISV.
At the end of this month we say farewell to Marika Kontellis as Executive Officer and Dr Gary Jacobsen who has been leading a number of our projects and working with the Board on a range of key strategic and related issues. Marika and Gary are principals at Zakumi Consulting and have been working with ISV for more than four years.
Because of Marika and Gary’s leadership of ISV and our relationship with Zakumi, ISV is a stronger, more effective and better organisation that is even more capable of delivering the sector development, advocacy and support the community sector and people experiencing social and economic disadvantage in our communities need.
We look forward to maintaining a relationship with Zakumi (albeit a different one) in the period ahead.
I am also really happy to announce that after a comprehensive search and recruitment process, the ISV Board has appointed Michaela Holloway to the position of Executive Officer. Michaela is an outstanding choice, who comes to the role after an extensive career in the community sector, the private sector, social enterprise and government in leadership and other roles supporting communities, people and the planet.
Michaela is an inner Sydney local who has served on the ISV Board and has qualifications in international and community development, finance and accounting.
I know that with your support and the support of our brilliant team at ISV she will do an outstanding job.
