Our Refreshed Logo: A Reflection of Our Community

January 22, 2026•1 Minutes

As we approached our 50th anniversary, we took the opportunity to listen. We wanted to understand what Inner Sydney Voice means to people today and, more importantly, what you need from us for the next 50 years.

Over the past year, local residents, sector workers, contributors, supporters, and past and present staff shared their views through surveys, focus groups and conversations.

You might have seen the surveys in the magazine or online, or you might even have been part of one of the focus groups we ran.  This deep consultation clarified what you value most about ISV: our independence, our history of grassroots action, and our commitment to ensuring everyone has an equal say in creating fairer communities. Our refreshed logo is a direct result of that input.

Refreshing the logo was just one part of that broader work. To bring these values to life, we partnered with emerging designers and communications students to translate your feedback into a visual identity that reflects our modern community while honouring our roots.

Thank you to everyone who took part along the way. We are proud and excited to begin rolling out the refreshed logo across our community. Keep an eye out for it at Yabun, Summer on the Green, and our upcoming digital support sessions in the Matavai and Turanga Community Rooms.
