Every day across Sydney, frontline workers (including workers across disability, youth, child protection, childcare, refugee and aged care services) connect with people and families at the most vulnerable points in their lives. This is not easy work, and lack of affordable housing and rising cost of living pressures are increasing vulnerability and risk.
On May 22, we’re bringing the sector together for our third Inner Sydney Thanks You celebration at Bondi Pavilion. It’s a chance to recognise and celebrate the extraordinary role our frontline community workers play in supporting people, families and communities across our region.
📸 Help Us Shine a Light on Your Work
To mark the occasion, we’re also launching a digital recognition campaign that highlights the everyday impact of community services.
We’re inviting local organisations to share a photo and a short quote that capture the essence of your work. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just something real. It could be:
- 🖍️ A drawing a child has made at playgroup with a comment from a parent
- 🍲 A photo of a meal prepared with a disability support worker
- 📦 A moving box, and a story about someone finally finding stable housing
- 📸 A picture of your team, reflecting on a proud moment
Whether it’s about support, belonging, learning, or growth, we want to help tell the story of how community service workers connect our communities and support people when they need it most.
