City libraries providing food relief

28 September 2021 | Posted In: News

City libraries are supporting people in need of food relief by providing food hampers. The two City branches — Surry Hills and Newtown — will enable people in the local communities to walk in and pick up food parcels. The libraries will also serve as sites where drivers can pick up and deliver to people who are isolated and in need of food relief.

The average weight of a hamper is 14 kgs. Contents include cereal, baked beans, soup, pasta, rice and canned fruit. If you would like a delivery contact:

Surry Hills Library: 405 Crown Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010. 0400  258 948.

Newtown Library: 8–10 Brown Street, Newtown NSW 2010. 0457 544 822.
