For the past 50 years, Inner Sydney Voice has been a progressive documenter of community and social issues in the Inner Sydney region. This community-driven publication relies on volunteer effort to ensure an authentic voice from the Inner Sydney region.

We want to grow our volunteer team to drive the next stage of this iconic publication. Specifically, we are looking for:

  • Digital storytellers
  • Anyone who can take a nice photo
  • Content writers – anyone interested in writing articles affecting the community in Inner Sydney or contributing content for our digital media presence via posts, blogs and videos
  • Proofreaders, Graphic designers, Social justice warriors, Subject matter experts, academics or those with lived experience.

Some of the current themes we are exploring centre on

  • Belonging and Inclusion
  • Reconciliation and Reforming Social Care Systems
  • Overdevelopment and Gentrification
  • Cost of Living
  • Housing Affordability
  • Loneliness and Social Isolation
  • Accessible and affordable health care.

To find out more, email your expression of interest to communications@innersydneyvoice.org.au with the subject line Journalists / Content Developers (Voluntary) and a few lines about yourself and what you are interested in. We will then contact you.
