Demonstrating Impact Peer Learning Network

A collaborative peer learning space for strengthening evaluation, outcomes measurement and impact practice across the community sector.

The Demonstrating Impact Peer Learning Network brings together people working across the community sector to learn from one another, share practical tools and build confidence in demonstrating the difference their work makes.

Delivered in partnership with the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), the network is co-designed and peer-led. It has created a practical and supportive forum for exploring evaluation, evidence and impact in ways that are meaningful, realistic and useful for community organisations.

What to expect

The network meets every two months online, combining information sharing with open discussion. Sessions are informal, practical and designed to support learning across different levels of evaluation experience.

  • Share challenges, ideas and resources
  • Test and refine approaches in an “evaluation lab”
  • Learn from peers across different organisations and service areas
  • Explore tools and methods for demonstrating impact
  • Build confidence in evaluation and outcomes measurement

Topics explored so far

Over the past year, network conversations have focused on practical approaches to evaluation and impact, including:

  • Qualitative and participatory evaluation methods
  • Telling meaningful impact stories
  • Using evidence to demonstrate outcomes and impact
  • Linking evaluation activities to organisational strategy

Upcoming conversations

In the year ahead, the network will continue to explore emerging questions and practical challenges, including:

  • Creative ways to gather feedback from children and young people
  • Using AI tools to analyse data and tell compelling stories about our work
  • Turning evidence and outcomes into reports that resonate with funders, partners and communities while staying true to organisational values
