Run by Family Drug Support, this workshop will help anyone working in youth, children and family services to: gain knowledge of successful “model of change” for supporting families affected by someone’s drug issues; identify the five stages that families experience and effective ways to respond; learn how to communicate more effectively with families in a work and/or professional situation; develop understanding and gain skills to assist families to build resilience and improve outcomes for both the person who uses the drug and the family; recognise the importance of psycho-social education for a family in relation to the significant barriers they may face.
Cost: $30 per person (lunch provided)
